January 2004: Taney bridge

Picture taken from Dundrum station stop during construction; note the carefully choreographed gull! The bridge has since been named the "William Dargan bridge" in honour of the Irish engineer. The bridge decking was erected amidst great publicity - hundreds of people appeared to see it happen. The bridge is a landmark site on Dublin's Luas; like much new architecture people either love or hate it with little opinion in between.
