Luas Line B1 construction at Blackthorn Road, Sandyford
The next sequence of pictures show construction work on Luas's line B1, taken from north to south from Sandyford to Carrickmines. This first photo illustrates completed trackwork on Blackthorn Road, looking north towards Sandyford depot and present terminus. Note OHLE posts are erected but no wiring as yet. The photographer has his back to Burton Hall Road; track had not yet been connected to the exisiting network at Sandyford stop. Luas engineers have installed concrete sleepers as standard in this view, taken in April 2009.
