Guinness sidings, Cork, 044 stands with empty keys
13 MAY 1983
This is Glanmire Road, Cork, where Metropolitan VIckers 'A' Class member 044 takes a break from shunting kegs. It is a bygone age now - in these days Coras Iompair Eireann (CIE or Irish Rail) made extensive revenue through transporting Guinness keys, as well as Harp and Smithwicks. Today all that traffic has completely disappeared.
